NB: All VStrata VPS Plans include GST & have a minimum contract term of 12 months. Internet Data consumption counted inbound to VPS only.

The plans without the Internet data allocation are available should customers require additional server/s, or a server that only connects to a Private Links VPN. Customers who wish to install and manage their own software Firewall server or a Dedicated SQL Server may select this option.

Fibre Channel SAN Storage

The VStrata products include by default Enterprise grade Fibre Channel SAN storage media for your important data storage. Optionally extra storage can be obtained either as Fibre Channel or SATA storage. Note that SATA storage is not backed up offsite, whereas the Fibre Channel storage is. Both types of storage, with differing performance and cost features are provided for customer choice.

Offsite Backup for all services

All services include offsite data backup to an equally appointed Data Centre and Enterprise grade servers and storage hardware. The second Data Centre is 80kms away to cover Disaster Recovery requirements. The entry level plan incorporates Schedule 1 Offsite Backup, being nightly backups of your server, kept for 24 hours until after the next full backup is created. Schedule 2 is a more comprehensive backup process to the same remote site but includes four (7 day) backup cycles being held - in summary - at least the previous 28 days of backups will be available to restore. A Restoration Service is available at Consultancy rates.

High Availability

Compared to having to buy your own duplicate backup server and implement complex syncing and automated failover, this feature offers real value for money. All but the entry level VStrata plan includes "High Availability". This means if the primary physical server supporting your Virtual Private Server fails unexpectedly your service is automatically re-launched on an alternative physical server within minutes. Even the entry level plan is supported by a 24x7, 4 hour response physical hardware Service Level Agreement.

Secure Remote Administration Access

All VStrata VPS include strong security features ensuring secure remote access for server administration. In addition, Access Control Lists are enabled for all VPS services to block the common Internet threats.

Operating System Choices and Windows Update Options

Customers have a broad choice of popular Operating Systems and software for lease. Windows based software also includes automated Windows Updates along with the choice of opting out for self management of patches, or a fully customised Windows Update consultancy service.

Managed Firewall Option

A further level of server security is offered in the form of a software based VStrata Managed Firewall, with customers able to request unique Firewall requirements subsequently managed for them. Our systems administration staff will assist customers in defining an initial security specification and configuration.

Optional Extras

With any VStrata VPS customers can also upgrade disk storage, add MS SQL server options or increase bandwidth. Please refer to the VStrata Order Form for pricing and new options as introduced.

Service Level Agreement

All VStrata services include a comprehensive monthly service level agreement providing up to 60% rebates for non performance. The SLA provided will certainly reinforce the commitment to ensuring consistent, reliable service.
